The 5 Best Women's Watches for Under 5000 Dollars

Today we will be covering the best women's watches for under 5000 dollars.  These watches will be touching the edges of what most people would consider, high end watches.  They will more than likely, be entry level watches from high end companies.  I say more than likely, because I do my research as I write, I am giving you an educated assumption.

So, here it is, The Best Women's Watches for Under, presents.

The Best Women's Watches for Under 5000 Dollars...

Omega
Constellation Quartz
Model: 123.15.27.20.57.003
Case: 27mm, Stainless steel
Band: Stainless steel
Movement: Omega 1376, quartz
Functions: HH, MM, SS
Battery:
Water resistance: 100M/330ft

The Omega Constellation is one of the most famous lines of watches, from one of the most famous watchmakers.  They are icons from icons.  Granted, it was the men's line of Constellation that goes back to 1952, but the line was considered the flagship of the company for a very long time.

The Lady Constellation quartz gives you a chance to step into that family of watches for a very reasonable price.  You get a 27mm, stainless steel case, with the crown at the 3 o'clock position.  The lens is sapphire, and the bezel is ringed with diamonds.  The black dial face has diamond hour markers.  The hands are polished steel, and the band is a block link style with a three fold clasp.  The movement is a Omega 1376 quartz.

I can usually find the watch for between 4500 and 5000 dollars through the online retailers.  I think it is a great opportunity to own a Constellation.  It is a great company with a great reputation.

Rolex
Oyster Perpetual
Model: 177200
Case: 31mm, Stainless steel
Band: Stainless steel
Movement: Rolex, 2231 automatic
Functions: HH, MM, SS
Battery: N/A
Water resistance: 100M/330ft

Rolex.  Yes, we are seeing our first Rolex on the best women's watches under blog.  Rolex may be the most well know watchmaker in the world.  And there is a lot of good reasons for that, it is by no means, a bunch of hype.  They make incredibly nice watches.

Rolex was founded in 1905, in London England.  Alfred Davis and his brother-in-law, Hans Wilsdorf began the company by buying Swiss movements, and putting them into high end, British cases.  These watches were sold to Jewelers, who actually put their own names on them.  The name, Rolex, wasn't registered and trademarked until 1915.

In 1919, Wilsdorf moved the Company to Switzerland because of the taxes levied on luxury items.  It was costing too much to do business.  The company has been innovators in the watch world.  They made the first waterproof watch, the first watch with a automatic date changing feature, the first watchmaker to earn a chronometer certificate, and a whole lot more.

The Oyster Perpetual is another long running line of wristwatches.  The name "Oyster" began in 1926, being patented as the first waterproof watch.  The name "Perpetual" was then added in 1931, indicating a automatic movement.  Those have continued.  This Oyster Perpetual has a 31mm stainless steel case, with the crown at the 3 o'clock position.  the lens face is sapphire crystal.  The dial face is purple, and the hour markers are indicated with Roman numerals.  With the Rolex "Crown" indicating the 12 o'clock position.  The hands are polished steel and the band is a stainless steel type, with a Oyster safety clasp.

The movement for the Oyster Perpetual is a Rolex 2231 automatic type.  It has 31 jewels, and a 48 hour power reserve.  It runs at 28,800 beats per hour, and is chronometer certified.  It is a wonderful movement.  It will keep excellent time.

I tend to see this watch in the online retailers for around 4500 dollars.  It is really impressive, for a Rolex.  This watch is, in all terms of the word, a heirloom.  It could be something that would be cherished for many lifetimes.

Cartier
Ballon Bleu
Model: W6920038
Case: 28mm, Stainless steel
Band: Stainless steel
Movement: Quartz
Functions: HH, MM
Battery:
Water resistance: 30M/100ft

Cartier was founded in 1847 in Paris, France.  They may be the most well know jeweler in the world.  But they have also been a high end watch maker since 1904.  The Ballon Bleu has been a long running line of Cartier watches.

The women's Ballon Bleu has a 28mm stainless steel case, with a crown at the 3 o'clock position.  The crown is guarded by the case.  The dial face is opalescent pink, with Roman numerals for the hour markers.  And the hour and minute hands are blue steel.  The band is a h-link stainless steel type, with a folding clasp.  It has a quartz movement, meaning the battery will have to be replaced occasionally, usually about once every two years.

I see this watch in the online retailers for around 4000 dollars usually.  It is a great opportunity to get a entry level Cartier.  They make wonderful watches and they are definitely a discussion piece for any watch lover.

Jaeger-Lecoultre
Reverso Lady Stainless steel
Model: 2618411
Case: 33.2mm x 19.5mm, Stainless steel
Band: Leather
Movement: Quartz
Functions: HH, MM
Battery: N/A
Water resistance:

Jaeger-Lecoultre was founded in 1833 in Le Sentier, Switzerland, by Antoine LeCoultre, after designing a machine that was able to machine watch pinion gears from steel.  It was a catalyst for him to begin designing and building high quality wristwatches.

In 1844 Antoine invented the worlds most accurate time measurement instrument, called a Millionometre,  and By 1937, Edmond Jaeger, a Paris based watchmaker began collaborating with Lecoultre, renaming the company to Jaeger-Lecoultre.

The Reverso Lady Stainless Steel is a rectangular body watch.  It measures 19.5mm wide x 33.2mm long, and is made from stainless steel.  The crown is located at the 3 o'clock position, and the lens is sapphire crystal.  The case is hinged, allowing the watch face to flip to a flat stainless steel face, giving a surface that can be etched, and the watch worn as a bracelet instead of a watch.

The dial face is white, with black Arabic numerals marking the hours.  The hands are hardened blue steel, and the band is brown leather, with a folding style clasp.  The movement is a Jaeger-Lecoultre 657 Quartz movement.

I find this watch online for around 3,500 dollars.  It is a nice watch for the price.  Something I think should be considered if the looks of the watch appeals to you.

TAG Heuer
Carrera Calibre 9 Diamond
Model: WAR2415.BA0776
Case: 38mm, Stainless steel
Band: Stainless steel
Movement: Calibre 9, Automatic
Functions: HH, MM, SS, Date
Battery: N/A
Water resistance: 100M/330ft

Tag Heuer is a company that hasn't gotten much love on the best woman's watches under, as well as the best men's watches under blogs.  Not for any particular reason.  I just have not given them a whole lot of attention as of yet.  I am planning to change that, starting with the Carrera Calibre 9 shown here.

Tag Heuer began in 1860, as Uhrenmanufaktur Heuer AG, or Just Heuer to most people.  They were founded by Edouard Heuer in St-Imier, Switzerland.  He patented his first chronograph in 1882 and an oscillating pinion in 1887, something that is still used by watchmakers of mechanical chronographs.  He also patented the first dashboard chronograph for automobiles. and through the 1930's and 40's he manufactured chronographs for the Luftwaffe pilots.  By the 1950's he produced unique chronographs for American retailer, Abercrombie & Fitch.  And from the 50's to the 70's, Heuers became extremely popular with automobile racing.  In 1962 Heuer became the first watchmaker in space, with John Glen wearing a Heuer stopwatch.  And the first Carrera watch was introduced in 1963.  In 1985 the TAG group purchased a majority stake in the company, forming Tag Heuer, and in 1999 LVMH made a freindly takover and bough nearly 100% of the company.  They continue to make fine timepieces and still remain popular in the racing world.  This is exacly the type of watchmaker I like to include in my lists.  I am glad I was able to find a place for them.

The Carrera Calibre 9 Diamond is understated style.  It is not over the top with bling and sparkle, and it is not so large to look like you are wearing a salad plate on your wrist.  It has a 38mm stainless steel case with the crown at the 3 o'clock position.  The bezel is polished stainless steel with 56 top Wesselton diamonds ringing the sapphire lens.  It also sports a white, mother of pearl dial face.  The hour markers are indicated with 12 more Wesselton diamonds and there is a date window located at hte 3 o'clock position as well.  The hands of the watch are polished steel, and the band is stainless steel links with a folding style clasp.

The movement is a Tag Heuer Automatic Calibre 9.  It is a modified CalibreSellita SW1000.  It is an 18 jewel movement with a 40 hour power reserve and it runs at 28,800 beats per hour.

The Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 9 can be found through online retailers for around 3,000 to around 3,500 dollars,  It is a great looking watch, that should be beautiful and sturdy, and one that can be wore for many situations.  Definately a watch and company to look at if you are in the market for a woman's watch.

Wrap Up

This was my favorite list so far on the best women's watches for under blog.  I feel like I am starting to see some true quality watches showing up.  That's not to say the lower priced watches I have covered here are not quality, but it is all relative, and it is really staring to show.  I hope you have enjoyed the 5 best women's watches for under 5000 dollars, and hope you come back soon.

The Best Women's Citizen Watches for Under...

Citizen watches have been in the watch business since 1918.  They began as Shokosha Watch Research Institute.  The name was changed, shortly after, being renamed after a pocket watch that was made in 1924.

Citizen is one of the largest watchmakers in the world.  They have some amazing technology and have been considered one of the better general watchmakers for a very long time.  With things like the Eco-Drive watches, which are solar powered watches, and Atomic timekeeping, Citizen is giving people products that are modern and utilize some of the latest technologies.

The Best Women's Citizen Watches for Under...

The best women's Citizen watch for under 200 dollars

Ladies Strap Eco-Drive
Model: EW1270-06A
Case: 25mm, Stainless steel
Band: Leather
Movement: Eco-Drive, E011
Functions: HH, MM, SS, Date
Battery: N/A
Water resistance: Splash resistant

The Ladies Strap Eco-drive is the entry level watch from Citizen, for women.  It is basically the lowest priced watch they offer at this time.  You can, of course, probably find a lower priced model still for sale on some of the watch retail sites, for less.  But this is a current model.

The watch has a 25mm stainless steel case, that is two-toned.  It has a crown that is located at the 3 o'clock position.  The bezel of the watch is a smooth rounded style, and the lens is a mineral crystal type.  The dial face of the watch is white, with Arabic numerals marking the hours, in black.  There is a date window located at the 3 o'clock position, and the hands of the watch are polished steel.  The band of the watch is leather, with a buckle style clasp.

The Ladies Strap sports an Eco-Drive movement, model #E011.  It is basically a quartz movement with a solar panel built into the watch.  Meaning you will have no need to replace the battery in this watch.  It will maintain itself.

The watch can be purchased through online retailers for around 120 dollars.  At that price, you are getting a Citizen watch with the Eco-Drive, and a nice looking watch at that.  I think the watch is priced right, and looks to be a nice buy.

The best women's Citizen watch for under 500 dollars

Ladies Ceramic Eco-Drive
Model: EM0030-59A
Case: 39mm Stainless steel
Band: Stainless steel/Ceramic
Movement: Eco-Drive E031
Functions: HH, MM, SS
Battery: N/A
Water resistance: 100M/330ft

If you are looking for a large watch, here it is.  This Citizen watch is pretty darn big for a ladies watch.  It measures 39mm.  The case is made of stainless steel, with a crown guard built into the case.  The crown is located at the 3 o'clock position and the bezel is a white ceramic bezel.  The lens is a mineral crystal, and the dial face is white with Arabic numerals at the 3, 6, 9 & 12 o'clock positions.  The remaining hour markers are diamonds.  The hands of the watch are polished steel.  The band of the watch is a stainless steel and ceramic link style, with a folding clasp.

The movement is another Eco-Drive.  Eco-Drive model #E031, so again, you will not need to replace batteries with this watch, it will keep itself charged as long as it gets some sunlight.

The watch sells online for around 340 dollars.  It is a big watch with a unique blend of stainless steel and ceramic.  If you are looking for something someone will notice, this watch may very well fill that ticket.  It is a nice looking watch.

The best women's Citizen watch for under 1000 dollars

Eco-Drive World Chronograph
Model: FC5006-55A
Case: 38mm, Stainless steel
Band: Stainless steel
Movement: Eco-Drive H804
Functions: HH, MM, SS, Date, Day, Chronograph
Battery: N/A
Water resistance: 100M/330ft

This is another big one.  The Eco-Drive World Chronograph is nearly as big as the Ceramic, listed above.  It has a lot of gold toned stainless steel, and even some diamonds in it as well.  It is a bit of a blingy looking watch, and has some seriously nice features to boot.

The case is a combination of rose gold toned stainless steel and plain stainless steel, and measures 38mm in diameter.  It has the crown located in the standard 3 o'clock position and has chronograph function buttons located at the 2 & 4 o'clock positions.  It has a bezel with diamonds in it, and the lens is a sapphire crystal.  The face of the watch is silver toned stainless, and the outer ring of the face has abbreviated locations for the different time zones. Inside of that, it uses gold toned indexes to mark the hours, and has a date window located at the 4 o'clock position.  It has 2 prominent sub dials located at the 6 & 12 o'clock position, and an additional, less obvious sub dial located at the 9 o'clock position.  The band is also stainless steel, in both natural and gold tones, and it has a folding clasp.

The movement is an Eco-Drive H804.  This means it is solar powered like the other Citizen watches on this list, and on top of that it uses Atomic timekeeping technology.  Meaning it is going to keep some seriously accurate time.

This watch seems to cost around 720 dollars through the online retailers, a bit more if you want to buy it directly from Citizen.  It is a whole lot of watch, and a huge step up from the others so far on the list.  It is a seriously formidable watch.

The best women's Citizen watch for under 2000 dollars

Signature Series
Model: EM0374-50A
Case: 30mm, Two toned stainless steel
Band: Two toned stainless steel
Movement: Eco-Drive E031
Functions: HH, MM, SS
Battery: N/A
Water resistance: 100M/330ft

The signature series is still not something I would consider a small watch, but it does take a much more elegant approach to appearance.  It is a bit more of a dress watch, but still offers a whole lot of nice features just the same, and even some more diamonds.

The case is two toned stainless steel, gold and silver.  It measures 30mm and has a built in crown guard.  The crown itself is located at the 3 o'clock position, and the bezel is rounded, with diamonds at the 2, 4, 6, 8 & 12 o'clock positions.  The lens is also sapphire crystal and the dial has an outer ring of more diamonds.  Inside of that, the hours are marked with dots, except for the 12 & 6 o'clock positions, where Arabic numerals are used, and all in gold.  The hands of the watch are gold toned as well, and the band is a two toned stainless steel, linked style.  It has a folding style of clasp.

The movement is another Eco-Drive.  A E031 version, and is Solar power as well.

This watch costs around 1350 dollars online.  It is a nice dress watch, that shows off some of its expense, and would make a nice timepiece for those looking for such a watch.

Wrap Up

Citizen watches have been around for a very long time.  They make good products, and they have some fairly impressive technology they like to employ in their watchmaking.  They are a company I would recommend to many people looking for a watch that would fall in the 200-2000 dollar price point.  They have some nice flash, which is not common with all Japanese watchmakers, and are generally a good buy in terms of value to cost.

The Best Women's Automatic Watches for Under...Part 1

The best women's watches under blog has made lists for watches under a certain price, and lists for brands under a certain price, but there are other types of lists.  Today I will start to implement one of the other types of lists I like to offer to my readers.  The best women's automatic watches are going to be covered today.  For those of you who do not know what an automatic watch is, lets cover that really quickly.

And automatic watch means the watch is a mechanical movement, but instead of needing to be wound by hand, they have counterweights inside the case that allow the watch to be wound while being wore.  They are probably the most popular watch movements available, and they have been in production since around 1923.

The Best Women's Automatic Watches for Under...Part 1

The best women's automatic watch for under 50 dollars

Akribos
Bravura
Model: AKR475BU
Case: 38mm, Stainless steel
Band: Leather
Movement: Automatic 2650
Functions: HH, MM, SS
Battery: N/A
Water resistance: 50M/165ft

Akribos is a company I have never covered on either my men's blog, or here at the best women's watches under blog.  I didn't really pay them much mind.  I have very little on history for the company, but I will give you what I know, and you can decide if they are something for you to look at.  Before that, I would like to say, that people have very little complaints about them.  They are not forever watches, but they are proving to be reliable.

Akribos is a sister company ti Invicta.  They share some components and designs, but generally, Akribos takes a more sporty approach to their watches.  They like to make skeleton watches, and they generally use Chinese movements.

The Bravura has a 38mm, stainless steel case, with a crown located at the 2 o'clock position.  It has crystals ringing the bezel, and a mineral crystal lens.  the dial face is partial skeleton, with a white outer dial ring.  The hours are marked with Arabic numerals.  The hands are white, outlined in purple.  and it has a calfskin leather band, with a buckle style clasp.

The movement is a automatic, model #2650, it is a Chinese movement, and I really can't say much more than that.  Generally speaking, if you take care of the watch, it should keep fairly good time.  It should not make you complain.

The price of the watch on most online sites seem to fall in at about 40 dollars.  It seems solid for a 40 dollar watch.  And one that is an automatic to boot.  I would have to say it is a good buy any where near that price.

The best women's automatic watch for under 100 dollars

Seiko
Series 5
Model: SYMD95
Case: 25mm, Stainless steel
Band: 14mm, Stainless steel
Movement: Seiko Automatic 4207
Functions:  HH, MM, SS, Date, Day
Battery: N/A
Water resistance: 30M/100ft

I think Seiko is one of the best watch companies around, dollar for dollar.  You can generally get a whole lot of watch from this company.  Much like Orient, it seems like they are able to give more than others.  Like here, you are getting a automatic from a highly reputable company for under 100 dollars.  There is a reason this watch has made my lists before, it is just great.

The Seiko Series 5, here was on the best women's watches under 100 dollars list.  And it was probably my favorite on that list.  It may very well be my favorite on this list as well.

The Series 5 has a 25mm stainless steel case, with a crown located at the 3 o'clock position.  It has a smooth bezel, and a hardlex crystal lens.  The dial face is black and the hours are marked with indexes.  It has a day/date window at the 3 o'clock position.  The hands of the watch are polished steel with a illumination imbued into them.  The band is a 3 link stainless steel type, with a folding clasp.

The movement is a Seiko automatic, #4207.  It has 21 jewels and runs at 21,600 bph.  It has about a 24 hour power reserve.

I cannot stress how much I like this watch, especially at about 75 dollars.  I think it is a fantastic watch at that price, and one I would recommend over and over again.

The Best women's automatic watch for under 200 dollars

Fossil
Original Boyfriend
Model: ME3089
Case: 38mm, Stainless steel
Band: Leather
Movement: Automatic
Functions: HH, MM, SS
Battery: N/A
Water resistance: 50M/165ft

We have talked about Fossil here on this site before.  They have a lot of variations to offer, and are a strong watchmaker for women.  Some companies tend to forget that women wear watches as well as men, and their selection can be less than impressive.  That's not the case with Fossil.  They have a lot to choose from, and a lot to choose from in the under 200 dollar price range.

The Original Boyfriend is a skeleton watch.  It has a 38mm stainless steel case in a gold tone, and it has a over sized crown located at the 3 o'clock position.  It has a beveled bezel and a nearly full skeleton face.  It has black index marks for hour markers, and it has gold toned hands.  The back is also see through, so you can see the entire movement.  The band of the watch is leather, with a buckle style clasp.

The movement in the Original Boyfriend is a automatic.  That is about all I can tell you about it.  It could be a Chinese movement, it could be a ETA or it could be something else.  Sorry, that's all I have on it.

Most of the online retailers sell this watch for around 110 dollars.  I think that's a great price for the watch.  I think it has a great look, and it if from a company that will stand behind their prioducts.

The best women's automatic watches for under 500 dollars

Hamilton
Jazzmaster Viewmatic
Model: H32325131
Case: 34mm, Stainless steel
Band: 18mm, Stainless steel
Movement: 2671 Automatic
Functions: HH, MM, SS, Date
Water resistance: 50M, 165ft

Best women's watch under 500Hamilton watch is a watch company that I would consider good quality at a good value.  Similar to Seiko, but Hamilton is a Swiss watchmaker.  I like the looks of their products and they are well built with a solid company, in Swatch Co, behind them.

The Jazzmaster Viewmatic is a 34mm, stainless steel cased watch.  It has a crown at the 3 o'clock position and a smooth bezel.  The lens is sapphire and the dial face is black.  The hours are marked with indexes and there is a date window located at the 3 o'clock position.  The hands of the watch are polished steel and the band of the watch is a 3-link, stainless steel type, with a folding style clasp.

The movement is an ETA automatic #2671.  The movement has been in production since 1971.  That tells me a few things.  1) It is a quality movement, 2)There are tons of parts for them out there in the world, and they should be something easily fixed if you have any problems with it.  The ETA 2671 is a 21 jewel movement with 28,800 bph.  It also has a 38 hour power reserve.

The Jazzmaster Veiwmatic can usually be had for around 475 dollars through the online retailers.  It is a whole lot of watch for the price.  You are getting a workhorse of a movement.  Sapphire, and a sturdy build.  I don't think you will be disappointed.

Wrap Up

You may be thinking, why in the world would I bother with a automatic watch?  What are the benefits?  Well, there are a few good reasons to consider a automatic movement.  The automatic and hand wound movements are mechanically powered, there are no batteries or transistors or any other electrical components.  This is good for one major reason.  They are repairable.  They will always be repairable.  Quartz movements are not.  The only way you can fix a quartz movement watch is to replace the movement.  If the movement is not available, the watch is junk.  This limits the lifespan of the watch.  Mechanical watches can actually be handed down as heirlooms.  They can last a lifetime and more.

I hope you have enjoyed this post from the best women's watches under.

The Best Women's Orient Watches for Under...

Orient watches has been in business since 1950.  In the grand scheme of things, it would not be considered one of the old guards of the watch world.  But they have a substantial amount of history behind them.  And on top of that, since 2001, they have been owned by Seiko, who is something of a preeminent force in the watch world.

Orient was founded by Shogoro Yoshida, in Tokyo Japan, in the year, 1950, But Shogoro actually got started in 1901 when he opened a wholesale watch shop in Tokyo.  By 1912, he expanded his business by producing gold watch cases, and around 1920, he opened Toyo Tokei Manufacturing, producing table clocks and guages.

By 1934 he had moved into wristwatch production, building a new plant in 1936.  Unfortunately, World War II killed the economy in Japan, and Shogoro was forced to shut his doors in 1949.  It didn't take him long to rebound, reopening in 1950, and renaming the company to Orient Watch Co. in 1951, the same year the first Orient Star watch was released.

The company is still doing well under the Seiko umbrella, and specialize in mechanical movements, and are known for making all their own movements in house.  I consider the Orient watches in high regard, I cannot say I like them more than Seiko watches, but the bang for your buck with Orient watches is hard to beat.

The Best Women's Orient Watches for Under...

The best women's Orient watch for under 200 dollars

Soma Collection
Model: FER2K003C0
Case: 37.5mm, Stainless Steel
Band: Leather
Movement: Orient Automatic 48743
Functions: HH, MM, SS, Date
Battery: N/A
Water resistance: 50M/165ft.

Best women's Orient watch under 200Soma collection is actually being called a unisex watch, and I can see it as either being a men's watch or a woman's watch.  It has a classic look to it, and feels a bit vintage as well.  It has a auto movement and a date window, giving you a lot of nice watch for under 200 dollars.

The FER2K00C0 is a 37.5mm, stainless steel cased watch.  It has a crown located at the 3 o'clock position, and both crown and case are gold toned.  The bezel is rounded, and holds the mineral glass lens.  The dial face is champagne, and the hours are indicated with black Roman numerals.  They are interrupted at the 6 o'clock position, for the date window.  The hands of the watch are black steel, and the band of the watch is leather, with a buckle style clasp.

The movement for the Soma is a Orient Automatic, model #48743.  It has 21 jewels, and runs at 21,600 bph.  It also has a 41 hour power reserve.  It has been in production for some time now, I believe for over 20 years, and should be a reliable movement for you.

The watch can be had through the online retailers for around 150 dollars.  I think this is a great buy at that price.  It would really be hard to beat it with any of the more mainstream watch companies, and it falls well below the 200 dollar price point of this category. It is available in several different color variations as well.

The best women's Orient watch for under 500 dollars

Orient
World Stage
Model: WV0581NR
Case: 27mm, Stainless steel
Band: 13mm, Stainless steel
Movement: 55744, automatic
Functions: HH, MM, SS, Date
Water resistance: 50M/165ft

Best women's watch under 500The world stage made the lists once before here at the best women's watches under blog.  It was on the best women's watches under 500 dollars.  And made a good showing on that list as well.  Again, Orient offers nice bang for your buck, and will be hard to be beaten when you look at what the watches they offer have going for them.

The world stage is not a unisex watch.  This is a woman's watch.  The stainless steel case measures in at 27mm, making it a fairly dainty watch, even for women.  It has a stainless steel crown located at the 3 o'clock position and the bezel is flat.  The lens is sapphire, which is not always a given at this price point, and the dial face is black.  The hours are marked out with white Roman numerals, and the watch has a date window located at the 3 o'clock position.  The hands of the watch are polished steel, and the band is a stainless steel, 5 link style, with a folding clasp.

The movement in this watch is a Orient automatic, 55744 calibre model.  That has 21 Jewels.  It has an approximate 40 hour power reserve.  It is a sound movement, they use in many of their watches.  It should hold fairly accurate time.

The World Stage can usually be had through the online retailers for around 265 dollars.  In my book that should be considered an excellent deal for this watch.  Like I have said before, you would not be able to get this much watch from the more mainstream, or more popular watch makers out there.

Wrap Up

Unfortunately, Orient's line of women's watches is extremely limited.  They do make some men's watches that would fall, size wise, into a reasonable range for a woman's wrist.  But officially, I think I have already covered the spectrum, price wise, for the Women's Orient Watches.

Generally, here at the best women's watches under blog, I like to include four or 5 watches on my lists.  I could not do that here.  And if the company didn't impress me as much as it does, I would not have even bothered with making a list.  But it does, and it should be considered if the looks of the Orient watches appeal to you.

Best women's watch under 2000
Louis Erard was founded on 1929, in Switzerland.  The company has had a bit of a rocky life, but generally speaking, they have made fine, mid range watches for a very long time now.

The Heritage Automatic has a 30mm stainless steel case, with the crown at the 3 o'clock position.  The watch has a sapphire lens on the front and back.  The pink dial face has Roman numerals for the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock hour markers, with the remaining hour markers being indicated with 0.05ct pink diamonds.  There is a date window at the 6 o'clock position.  The hands are chromed steel.  The band is a three link stainless steel style, with a folding clasp.

The movement is a ETA 2671, basically the same as the Oris right above.  It has 25 jewels, it is self winding, has a 38 hour power reserve, and runs at 28,800. The only real difference is, the Louis Erard version is not modified. But generally, modifications are only to the appearance of the movement, replacing steel parts with copper, or gold plated parts.

This watch can usually be had for just a hair over 1100 dollars.  Making it the bargain in this bunch of watches.  And falling well under the 2000 dollar price point.

Montblanc
Star Classique Ladies
Model: 108765
Case: 34mm, Stainless steel
Band: Alligator
Movement: Quartz MB 21.01
Functions: HH, MM, Date
Battery:
Water resistance: 30M/99ft

best women's watch under 2000Montblanc has been producing luxury goods since 1906.  They were founded in Hamburg Germany.  They began as a upscale pin company, making filler pins in the district of Hamburg.  They are now owned by the Richmont company.  The same group that ownes Baume & Mercier.  They only started producing watches in 1997, but have jumped right into the mix of high end watch makers.

The Star Classique is no exception.  This watch has a 34mm stainless steel case, with the crown at the 3 o'clock position.  The lens is sapphire crystal.  The dial face is white with gold plated hour markers, the 12 o'clock position uses a Roman numeral.  The rest of the hour markers use index marks.  There is a date window at the 6 o'clock position.  The hands of the watch are red gold plated.  The band is a white alligator leather, with a buckle style clasp.

This watch uses a quartz movement.  It may be a ETA but is just as likely a Ronda.  The watches made by Montblanc have improved rapidly over the years, and they are a solid company for watches.

This watch can usually be had for under 1400 dollars on the internet.  It seems like a very nice watch, and a company you should look at if you are looking for high in watch wear.

Omega
DeVille Prestige Quartz
Model: 424.10.24.60.01.001
Case: 24.4mm Stainless steel
Band: Stainless steel
Movement: Omega 1376 Quartz
Functions: HH, MM
Battery:
Water resistance: 30M/100ft

Best women's watch under 2000Understand this right now.  Omega is my very favorite watch maker of all time.  I love their products and think they are the best company out there.  I often call them the rock star of the watch making world.

Omega was founded in 1903, in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.  They have really made a mark in the watch world.  They became official timekeepers for combat units in the British Royal flying Corps in 1917.  Then by 1918, they were the official timekeeper for the American Army.  They were the Choice of Nasa, and in 1969, they were the first watch on the moon.  They have been the official timekeeper for the Olympics since 1932, and have been on James Bond's wrist since 1995.

They are a serious heavy hitter in the watch world.  And on top of all the fame, they make some of the best watches in the world.

The Deville Prestige is the entry level watch for you with this company.  They will show up on many of the lists to come, starting here.  The watch has a 24.2mm stainless steel case with the crown at the 3 o'clock position, and has a sapphire crystal lens.  The dial face is black, it has white hour markers with Roman numerals at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions.  The other hour markers are indicated with index marks.  The hands are polished steel.  And the watch has a 7 link stainless steel band, with a folding clasp.  The movement is a quartz, model 1376.

This watch can usually be found online for around 1900 dollars, so it will push your 2000 dollar budget.  But it is an Omega, and you will pay for that fact, no matter what your price point is.  But you get a quality watch that is beautiful.

Bell & Ross
Aviation Steel
Model: BR-S-Steel
Case: 39mm, Steel
Band: Black rubber
Movement: BR-CAL.102 Quartz
Functions: HH, MM, SS
Battery:
Water resistance: 100M/330ft

Best women's watch under 2000Bell & Ross make some unique looking watches.  They will not be for everyone, but I tend to gravitate to them for some reason.  I think they are kinda cool looking, they are built well, and they are definitely something that people will notice.

Bell & Ross, is a new company for the best women's watches under blog, Bell & Ross was founded in 1992.  It breaks my preference of liking long standing companies.  It originally began as two German watch designers, designing watches and having Sinn produce the watches for them, but since 2002 Bell & Ross has been producing their own watches.  They are specialized in unique looking watches.

The BRS-Steel has a 39mm square, steel case that has a brushed steel finish.  It has a crown at the 3 o'clock position.  The watch has 4 visible hold down screws on the face corners, and it has a sapphire crystal lens.  The face of the watch is black and has which hour markers.  The 12, 3, and 9 o'clock positions use Arabic numerals, and the remaining use index marks.  There is a small seconds dial at the 6 o'clock position, and there is luminous material imbued in the hands and hour markers.  The band is black rubber, with a buckle style steel clasp.  The watch uses a quartz movement, a BR-CAL.102, it is most likely a ETA movement, but I was unable to confirm that.

This watch can usually be had from online retailers for around 1600 dollars.  There are several other Bell and Ross watches that will fall under that price point if this one doesn't quite do it for you.  They are nice looking watches and are well made.  The picture above doesn't do it justice.  They have sandwiched dial faces and nice finishes that are hard to notice without very closeup pictures.

Wrap Up

For the 5 best women's watches for under 2000 dollars, I tried to introduce some new companies.  Bell & Ross, and Oris, and Louis Erard may be unknowns, but most people will know of Omega and Montblanc.  All of these brands are great options, and definitely some of the best women's watches for under...

The Best Womens Bulova Watches for Under...

Bulova is a long standing company that started as an American watchmaking company that manufactured their products in Switzerland.  Joseph Bulova founded the company in 1875, in New York City.  They became part of the Loews Corporation in 1979, and was sold to Citizen in 2007, making Citizen one of the largest watch companies in the world.  They invented the Bulova Accutron, first sold in 1960.  The Accutron utilized a tuning fork as the timekeeping element, instead of a balance wheel.  It was powered by a one transistor electronic oscillator circuit, qualifying the Accutron as the first electronic watch.  The Accutron had an accuracy that was untouchable by any of the mechanical watches of the time.

They became the forerunners to the quartz movement, which was released in 1969, by Seiko.  The Accutron was also the first wristwatch to be certified by U.S railroad, giving the company a huge boon in sales.  But the quartz movements quickly made up ground.  They were cheaper and more accurate than the Accutron.

Currently Bulova manufactures and markets several different brands, including Caravelle and Wittnauer.  they also introduced the Precisionist movement in 2010.  A new type of quartz movement that is claimed to be accurate within +/-10 seconds per year.

The best women's Bulova watch for under 50 dollars

Bulova
Caravelle New York
Model: 44L143
Case: 20mm, Steel, two tone
Band: 20mm Steel, two tone
Movement: Japanese Quartz
Functions: HH, MM, SS
Battery:
Water resistance: 30M/100ft

Best women's watch under 50 dollarsThis watch actually falls under the Caravelle name, but, it is a Bulova, and I am going to use that, since it is one of the nicest Bulova watches I have been able to find for under 50 dollars.  The Caravelle New York Two Tone made it onto my lists here at the best women's watches under blog before.  It was included on the 5 best women's watches for under 50 dollars list.  And it was one of the nicer options available on that list.  Even though it is not a traditional looking watch, it does have some nice lines, and has great appeal for the price.

The case of the watch is rectangular, it measures 20mm wide and about 22mm tall.  It is made of gold toned steel.  It has a crown located at the 3 o'clock position and a bezel that tilts in, toward the lens.  The dial face is white, and uses indexes to mark the hours, with Roman numerals marking the 6, and 12 o'clock positions.  The hands of the watch are gold toned as well.  The band of the watch is a solid, bracelet style, in gold toned steel, with white inlay.

The movement of the watch is called a Japanese quartz.  More than likely, it is a Miyota movement.  Miyota is considered one of the best movement manufacturers around, and it is owned by Citizen watch.  They almost exclusively use their own movements in their watch brands.

This watch can be had through the online retailers for around 30 dollars.  It looks to me to be a great deal for what you get.  The watch is stylish and built by a highly reputable company, that has been making watches for a long time, and is owned by an even older and more reputable watchmaker.  I would consider this a much better choice than most of the watches you will find at a discount department store.

The best woman's Bulova watch for under 100 dollars.

Bulova
Diamond Gallery
Model: 98M119
Case: 34mm, Stainless steel
Band: Stainless steel
Movement: Japanese Quartz
Functions: HH, MM, SS, Date
Battery:
Water resistance: 30M/100ft

I went for a true Bulova this time, instead of the Caravelle, even though a Caravelle at the 100 dollar price point was a viable option.  Both this watch, the Diamond Gallery, and a Caravelle made the 5 best women's watches for under 100 dollar list, and it was a toss up as to which one I liked more.  I gave it to the Diamond Gallery, mostly because of the fact that it was a true Bulova, and preferred not to make this list the best Caravelle watch instead of the best Bulova watch.

The Diamond Gallery has a very strong Seiko look to it in my mind.  What I would actually call a very Japanese look to it.  That is not a bad thing, their styling is tried and true, and this watch looks classic and clean.  Something that could be used in either a informal, or formal situation.

The Bulova Diamond has a 34mm stainless steel case.  It has a crown located at the 3 o'clock position that is gold toned, and the bezel as well, is in a gold toned steel.  The dial face of the watch is pearled red, and it has indexes marking the hours, except for at the 12 o'clock position, where it uses an Arabic numeral.  There is a date window located at the 6 o'clock position and the hands of the watches are gold toned as well.  The band of the watch is stainless steel, linked style, with the middle links in gold tones as well, and it has a folding style of clasp.  It uses a Japanese quartz movement as well (Miyota)

The going rate for this watch through the online retailers is around 95 dollars.  I would not recommend you go much higher than 100 dollars, because there are better watches available to you at that price.  But as a sub-100 dollar watch, I would consider this watch a good by for any lady looking for a very versatile and stylish looking watch, at a reasonable price.

The best woman's Bulova watch for under 200 dollars.

Bulova
Diamond
Model: 98P141
Case: 32mm, Stainless stee
Band: Stainless steel
Movement: Japanese Quartz
Functions: HH, MM, SS
Battery:
Water resistance: 30M/99ft

Here we have another Bulova Diamond, but this time the watch is definately becoming much more stylish, and more condusive of a watch you might wear for a night out on the town.  The price point does not require that though, at under 200 dollars this watch could still be considered a daily knock around type of watch if you prefer.

The watch is made of stainless steel toned to a rose gold.  The case of the watch measures 32mm, and has a crown located at the 3 o'clock position.  The case has a built in crown guard around the crown, and it has a fluted bezel, with softened edges on it.  The lens is a sapphire lens, lending a bit of sturdiness you do not get with the cheaper watches.  The face of the watch is white, with a inner gold toned ring.  Outside of that ring, there are 12 hand set diamonds marking the hours, and the hands of the watch are gold toned as well.  The band of the watch is rose gold toned, stainless steel, in a tree link style, and it utilizes a folding style clasp.  The movement is again a Miyota quartz movement.

The watch can be had at most online retailers for around 190 dollars.  It is a high quality watch for the price.  So much so, that this watch made the 5 best women's watches for under 200 dollars list.  It is a very good looking watch and a very quality watch for the price.

The best woman's Bulova watch for under 500 dollars.

Bulova
Diamond
Model: 98R218
Case: 28mm, Stainless steel
Band: Stainless steel
Movement: Quartz
Functions: HH, MM
Battery:
Water resistance: 30M/100ft

The Bulova Diamond represents the higher end spectrum of what Bulova has to offer in women's watches at this time.  It is a stainless steel watch, gold toned, and has diamonds also.  The watch is nice looking, as well as well built.  It is made as a formal looking watch, and might not fall into the daily wear, as most other Bulovas do.

The Bulova Diamonds has a 28mm, gold toned, stainless steel case.  It has a crown at the 4 o'clock position that sits on a flat on the watch case.  The bezel of the watch has 38 diamonds that ring the lens of the watch.  The dial face is mother of pearl, and the hours are marked with 12 more diamonds that are hand placed on the face.  The hands of the watch are gold tone as well, and the band of the watch is a stainless steel mesh style with a pressure clasp.  The movement of the watch is a Japanese quartz as well, again most likely a Miyota.

The watch can usually be had through the online retailers for around 340 dollars.  Putting it well under the 500 dollar price point for this list.  And making it an excellent buy for a formal style watch for someone who does not choose to spend a small fortune on one.  It has quality and is made from quality materials, a definite, good buy, in my mind.

Wrap Up

Bulova watches are not the same they were 30 or 40 or more years ago.  They have become a watchmaker that produces good watches on the lower end of the price spectrum.  I believe that this is done to minimize competition with the parent company, Citizen.

This does not mean that you are not getting good watches when you purchase Bulova.  I consider Bulova watches a great choice for any woman looking for a new watch that will fall in the sub-500 dollar price point.  They are a old company with ties to the United States, and a company that should stand behind their work.

The Best Women's Timex Watches for Under...

Today, at the best women's watches under blog, we will be covering Timex.  Timex is a company, that, at the bottom line, have been in the watch and clock making business for an extremely long time, changing names and owners multiple times, but even with that, the history still stands.

Timex started life as the Waterbury Clock company, it was formed in 1854, in Waterbury Connecticut, and as a stand alone company, manufactured thousands of watches, becoming one of the largest producers for both domestic and export sales, until 1944.

After 1944, they started promoting their watches as being accurate and durable, they came up with the slogan, "takes a lickin and keeps on tickin", and continued to be prosperous until the end of the 1960's, when the Japanese and Chinese watches began to kill the American watch market.  The American companies could not compete with the pricing.

Timex transformed itself again and became known for elegant low cost timepieces with the advent of low cost quartz movements, and continue to be successful today.

Case: 31mm, Brass
Band: 16mm, Canvas
Movement: Quartz analog
Functions: HH, MM, SS
Battery:
Water resistance: 30M/100ft

Best women's timex watch under 50 dollarsI enjoy the Timex Weekender line of watches.  They have made an appearance on my brother site, The Best Men's Watches Under, and this watch was on the best women's watches under 50 dollars.  And for good reason, it is a great looking watch, and it is from a long standing company that has prided itself for making tough watches.

The Timex Weekender here, has a 31mm case made of brass.  It has a crown located at the 3 o'clock position, and a white dial face.  It utilizes Arabic numerals to mark the hours, and an inner ring of black Arabic numerals to mark the hours in a 24 hour style.  The hands of the watch are also brass, and the watch comes with a canvas band in a paisley pattern.  It has a Timex quartz movement, and has enough water resistance to withstand rain and occasionally getting a little wet.

The Weekender can usually be found through the online retailers for around 35 dollars.  It looks like a great deal at that price point.  And although it doesn't have some of the features you get with high priced watches, it does a admirable job as an inexpensive daily wearer type of watch.  Something I would consider.

Originals Classic
Model: T2P462AB
Case: 33mm, Brass
Band: Stainless Steel
Movement: Quartz
Functions: HH, MM, SS
Battery:
Water resistance: 30M/99ft

The best women's timex watch under 100The Timex Originals Classic is exactly that, it is a classic looking watch.  It is very similar to the Weekender line in looks, with a elegant twist to the styling.

The case of the watch measures 33mm, and is made of brass.  The crown is located at the 3 o'clock position and is made of brass as well.  It has a mineral glass lens and a light gold dial face.  The hours are marked by raised Arabic numerals, with tick marks for the minutes, and the hands of the watch are gold also.  The watch utilizes the Timex INDIGLO night lighting, and the watch has a gold toned, stainless steel mesh band.  The movement is a Timex quartz movement.

The watch is sold on the Timex website for 68 dollars, but can be tricky to find in stock anyplace.  I am unsure if the watch is nearing the end of its run, or if it will become available in the near future.

World Time Quartz
Model: TW2P87900ZA
Case: 44mm, Stainless Steel
Band: Leather
Movement: Quartz
Functions: HH, MM, SS, Date, multiple time display
Battery:
Water resistance: 100M/330ft

The best women's timex watch under 200The World Time is a new watch for Timex.  It might also be hard to track down anyplace other than their own website.  But, it is a whole lot of watch, and something of a rare find at the under 200 dollar price point.  It is large and has a whole lot of buttons on it, but it has a lot to offer.  It has capabilities to hold up to 24 major city times, it has a season display, a quick date display, and also the normal hour, minute and second.

The World time has a 44mm case, made of gold toned stainless steel.  It has the standard crown located at the 3 o'clock position, and has 3 auxiliary buttons, located at the 2, 4, and 8 o'clock positions.  It has a mineral crystal lens covering the white dial face, and utilizes Arabic numerals to mark out the hours of the watch.  The numerals are also in gold tone.  There is a date window located at the 2:30 position, and a sub dial for the season located at the 4:30 position.  It also has a time zone sub dial at the 10:30 position.  The band is brown leather, and the movement for the watch is a Timex quartz.

The watch is sold on the Timex website for 185 dollars, and by all appearances, seems to be a whole lot of watch for the money.  I would definitely suggest this watch to anyone who travels a lot, or has a need for a watch that will but versatile.

Wrap Up

I have notice, from doing past Timex reviews, that they don't have a huge lineup of watches to choose from, hence, only showing three watches here today, instead of my usual four or five watches.  don't be discouraged by that.  These are some of the best watches that Timex has to offer, and they offer these same watches in different colors and configurations, giving you several choices when you are trying to find your very own woman's Timex watch.

Thank you for reading The best women's watches under blog.
