Fossil is an American accessory company, that make watches, jewelry, sunglasses and wallets. They were founded in 1984 by Tom Kartsotis, in Texas. The company began as a far east importer, mainly focusing on fashion watches with a retro look.
Fossil bought Zodiac in 2001, a long lived Swiss watch maker that had been making watches since 1882. They re-tooled the Swiss plant to build retro looking. They currently produce watches for several different companies, like Adidas, Burberry, DKNY, and several others.

The Jacqueline line of watches tend to have a classic look to them. Not overly embellished, and still carrying the retro style that Fossil tends to favor. They are nice looking watches, and are designed for all sorts of lifestyles.
The Jacqueline 3 hand is a classic looking watch. It has a moderate sized case, measuring 36mm, and the case is made of stainless steel. It has a crown located at the 3 o'clock position, also made of stainless steel. It has a smooth bezel. The dial face is white, with Roman numerals at the 3, 6, 9 & 12 o'clock positions, and index marks at the remaining hours. The hour markers are all stainless steel. There is a date window located at the 6 o'clock position, and the hands are polished stainless steel, except for the second hand with is black steel. The movement of the watch is a quartz style, and will require a battery. The band of the watch is leather, and has a buckle style clasp.
The watch can be had for around 85 dollars through most online retailers. It is a nice looking watch for the price, and a watch that should last for some time.

Original Boyfriend
Model: ES3907
Case: 38mm, Stainless steel
Band: Leather
Movement: Quartz Chronograph
Functions: HH, MM, SS, Date, Chronograph
Battery:
Water resistance: 50M/165ft
This portion of the list is going to be a bit different. I am including two original boyfriends for two different types of people. The first, the ES3907 is the quartz movement version, the second, the ME3089 is the automatic version. I have explained it before, but will here again, for those of you who are new the the best women's watches under blog:
A Quartz movement is an electrical movement, it keeps excellent time, but will require a battery and if anything goes wrong with it, it must be replaced, it cannot, generally be fixed.
Automatic/Hand wound movements are mechanical in nature. They do not require a battery, they either require you to wind them up or they require motion to wind themselves up. They have no electronics, they can be repaired, but often do not keep quite as good time as the quartz movements do.
The
Fossil Original Boyfriend Quartz is not new to the
best women's watches under blog. It was on the 5 best
women's watches under 200 dollars. It is a nice looking watch. A little funky, a little retro and a little rugged looking. Definitely not a common everyday watch. And on top of that, it is also a chronograph.
It is also fairly big. The stainless steel case measures about 38mm in diameter, that doesn't include the crown, which is located at the 3 o'clock position. It has chronograph auxiliary buttons located at the 2 & 4 o'clock position. The bezel is smooth, and the lens is a mineral crystal lens. All of the stainless steel is done in a rose gold tone. The dial face is brown with index marks for the hours. It has a date window located at the 4 o'clock position and there are three chronograph sub dials, located at the 6, 9 and 12 o'clock positions. The hands of the watch are gold toned with illumination imbued in the center of them. And the band of the watch is leather with rivets, and a buckle style clasp, also in gold tone. The movement is a quartz movement, you will have to replace the battery from time to time in this watch, but it should keep great time, and hopefully last you a lifetime.
The watch sells for around 150 dollars through some of the online retailers. It is a nice watch at that price, at least in my mind. I think you are getting a very versatile watch with a unique look. Something that can be a daily wearer or just occasional. In my mind it is one of the coolest looking women's Fossil watches out there right now.
Fossil
Original Boyfriend
Model: ME3089
Case: 38mm, Stainless steel
Band: Leather
Movement: Automatic
Functions: HH, MM, SS
Battery: N/A
Water resistance: 50M/165ft
The Original Boyfriend Automatic, is a skeletonized watch. It also measures 38mm, and is made of stainless steel that has been gold toned. The crown is located at the 3 o'clock position. This watch doesn't have the chronograph functions, so you do not have the additional buttons. The bezel is beveled and the lens is a mineral crystal. The dial is a skeleton with an outer ring for the index marks, which indicate the hours. The hands of the watch are gold toned as well and have illumination in them as well. The band of the watch is a leather style, with a buckle clasp.
The movement is automatic. I am not exactly sure of the model of movement, so it will either be an ETA or a Chinese movement. At 110 dollars, which is how much you should be able to find this watch for, my money is on it being a Chinese movement.
It is also another nice looking Fossil watch. It has also made the lists here before, it was on the best
women's automatic watches under list. I am really torn as to which one I like more, the quartz or the automatic. They both definitely have their appeal.
Wrap Up
Here it is, another amazingly short list. This one didn't really surprise me though. Fossil watches tend to max out right around the 200 dollar mark, so I really did not think I would be finding many options much higher than 200 dollar for this best women's watches list.
I hope you enjoyed it.
